Programs

At BST, we create programs that are specific to our athletes’ needs and always emulate baseball movements. We’ve developed unique programs for players at all positions and skill levels, from one-on-one lessons and private workouts to small group strength & conditioning sessions. We recommend programs based on the skills and age of each player. Each program is modified based on the most recent data for optimum baseball biomechanics. + Strength & Conditioning

Before strength & conditioning training begins, we test each athletes’ speed, strength, throwing velocity and ball exit speed velocity. We evaluate programs regularly so athletes always know where they stand while working aggressively toward their goal. Using cutting-edge Hit Trax technology, we apply video analysis to create more consistent and efficient swings. We also balance heavy lifts with speed-based training to develop our athletes into the most explosive players possible.

Each workout is individualized and includes strength training, plyometrics, speed mechanics, conditioning, mobility exercises, arm care, core training, and pre-hab (exercises for preventing injury rather than treating it after it happens). Our strength & conditioning programs are offered year round as small groups or private workouts upon request and depending on availability.

+ Velocity Program

Our velocity programs are developed for all positions - Pitchers, Infielders, Outfielders, and Catchers. Whether you are a position player or pitcher, proper throwing methods is crucial for developing consistency, strength, and longevity. We use biomechanics to educate our athletes on why we do each exercise and to establish arm movements that will help them throw harder. Many of our athletes see gains in throwing velocity with improved biomechanics that lead to more efficient arm path and decreased incidence of injuries.

+ PRIVATE INSTRUCTION

There is more than one way to hit, pitch, or field. We offer private lessons to any of our athletes who want to improve, whether it be one or many elements of their game. In every lesson, we educate players on how movement patterns of the body work to maximize performance at the plate, on the mound, and in the field.

Lessons must be scheduled in advance. We recommend contacting us before scheduling so we can get to know you better so we can recommend the length and number of lessons that would benefit you most.

+ Return to Throw Program



Players can’t be their best when they’re hurt, and when injuries do occur, it’s even more critical that athletes return properly to avoid long-term damage. One of the unique components of our training programs is our rehabilitation approach and our application of “pre-hab” exercises. We often receive referrals from physical therapists to implement a Return to Throw program that is specialized to baseball movements. These programs are offered as needed for players who are recovering from injury and are customized to each athlete’s needs.
